Entry 89 : A PHOTO A DAY - 19

Hello, there~
Today was quite a fulfilling day, both physically and emotionally.
Physically because I ate Nasi Beriyani for lunch and then Nasi Ayam Penyet for dinner, which right after I got to hang out at Starbucks for a while.
Emotionally because I got to do stuff that made me happy.
Doesn't sound too special, does it?
It doesn't have to, though.

Today, I woke up early, sent my brother to school, then had my cup of Hot Milo.
I got ready for class and arrived at the faculty fairly early.
As I exited my car and made my way to class, there was this Chinese girl in a baju kurung (traditional Malay outfit for females) carefully walking down the steps from C17 to C13.
As my eye caught sight of her, I quickly took off the lens cap, set my camera to A mode and closed in on her.
As I got the correct framing, *click*.
I got my photo of her and she looked at me, startled.

"You look very pretty," I sincerely greeted her.
"Oh? Thank you," she smiled as we passed each other, going our separate ways.

I continued up the steps and she down, not looking back at her again.
I did this purposely.
This is my shot of her:

#19 : The pretty girl

I was happy with myself.
One, because I got to see such a pretty girl in a baju kurung early in the morning.
And two, because I wasn't awkward and creepy after I took her photo, even when I didn't know her beforehand.

Sometimes, a simple gesture and kind words can determine whether a person sues you for invasion of privacy or you actually making a new acquaintance.
I'll be talking about photography and socializing in a specific entry in the near future.
I hope by then I'll have enough examples and stories to tell.
I also hope to see her again.
Next Friday, hopefully!

"Never expect. Only hope"
