Entry 101 : A PHOTO A DAY - 25

Hello!
Seems like today's been a pretty productive day for me, in terms of updating.
I think it's due to the fact that I have some tests coming up this week.

Anyway, here's a photo I took today while I was at a camera shop that I shall now go to whenever I'm thinking of checking and purchasing some gear:

#25 : Cream of shallow DOP

This is a photo taken with a AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G that I was testing out and my God it is the greatest prime I've ever used so far.
The bokeh is so creamy, I would've made ice-cream out of it.
The photo is of a 18-140mm and a 18-200mm lens, which I was comparing and checking out for a friend.

I took this photo in RAW format and processed it in ViewNX 2, a free software Nikon provided me when I bought the D7100.
It's a pity that both my Lightroom 3.6 and Photoshop CS5 can't open my RAW files because I would've liked to experiment with the photo more and see if I could bring out something more than what an ordinary JPEG photo would deliver.
Even so, I am happy with the photo.

I almost bought the 50mm 1.8G today but I backed out.
Saving up for a better lens!
I hope to bring more shots of life and its wonders to you, my special friends.
Until then.

"BOKEH!"

p/s: I uploaded the photo in full resolution (6000x4000) but it seems like Blogger resized it for me. This never happens when I upload 1200x800 photos. Guess I should just stick to compression.
