Last night, I attended a meet & greet of one of Malaysia's most prominent local artist, Shila Amzah.

The meet & greet was held in conjunction with the announcement of her first concert in Malaysia: SHILA AMZAH LOVE LIVE IN MALAYSIA.

The event started off with Shila talking about her new album, which has been constantly delayed, that will come out soon and will go by the theme of love.
She says that the songs will revolve around that theme, with some being sad, happy and will also feature tracks that will require her to dance!
She says that fans will get to listen to her new songs first-hand when she debuts them at her concert.
Next, three lucky fans got to go on stage and sing their hearts out for Shila.
(Here, "lucky" is an understatement)
To receive a prize sponsored by Premiere Hotels, Shila had to choose a winner based on their singing.
She felt torn and left it up to the crowd to choose for her.
The MC then asked the fans on stage to pour their hearts out to Shila to see which confession received the most cheers.
The fans' confessions were so touching that Shila couldn't help but tear up and had to take a moment to wipe away her tears.

After a photo session with the lucky fans, Shila was surprised by a birthday cake accompanied by the birthday song.

She was utterly shocked when the organizers brought a cake up on stage with heart-shaped balloons and flowers.
Shila's birthday is not for another week as it falls on August 13th, but that was no reason to pass up the opportunity to celebrate it with all the fans.
The last segment of the meet & greet was the fan signing and meeting.
Fans who were in possession of a Shila Amzah poster or album were entitled to get her autograph and a few moments to exchange words.
After I got my shots, I also got an autograph for myself and wished her all the best for her concert.
Shila Amzah is a lovely person.
Her personality shines whenever she speaks and the way she treats her fans is as if they were all her close friends.
Her success in becoming a huge name in China and her determination in championing the covered up image of a female artist are truly noteworthy.
She is a beacon of inspiration and there is no doubt in my mind that she will be remembered as one legendary artist.
