Last Saturday, I attended K Festival 2014, which was held at Pavilion KL to catch the performance but the long awaited boy group, MBLAQ.
Finally, 5 years after their debuted, the boys planted their feet on Malaysian soil for the first time.
Alas, one of the members, Lee Joon wasn't present due to overlapping schedules.
It wasn't all too bad, though, as Malaysian fans got to see 80% of their favorite band.
They started their three-song set (yes, ONLY THREE!) with their latest single, Be A Man and immediately followed up with their popular single Mona Lisa.

They started their three-song set (yes, ONLY THREE!) with their latest single, Be A Man and immediately followed up with their popular single Mona Lisa.

They then took a break from singing to take the time to introduce themselves and formally greet the fans that came to cheer them on.
The boys were taught to say 'terima kasih' (thank you in Malay) and thanked all the fans.

MBLAQ closed their set with Oh Yeah, which received the loudest cheers and revived the nostalgia of K-pop circa 2009.
MBLAQ was only on stage for about 25 minutes before they exited and subsequently ended the night's event.
Fans were left speechless at the sheer briefness of MBLAQ's performance and certainly left them wanting more.
All we can hope for is that MBLAQ comes back to Malaysia with their very own concert with Lee Joon, as well, to give fans a more proper treatment.
All in all it was awesome to have seen MBLAQ in Malaysia.
