PROFILE
With music fashioned from the emotional detritus of their own hard lives raised up by a love of pop, rock, hip hop and soul, Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan (close friends since their teen days) recruited drummer Glen Power for their new band The Script after years of writing and producing music for other people.

The band released their self-titled debut album in August 2008 with a handful of hit singles, including We Cry, Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.
The album went to #1 in the UK and Ireland, approaching 2 million worldwide sales.

They played stadium shows with music heroes U2, Take That and Paul McCartney, executed a triumphant homecoming set at Ireland’s Oxegen festival before 78,000 fans and won Best Live Performance at the 2010 Meteor Awards (beating their mentors U2).
To top it all off, Breakeven hit the summit of Billboards Adult Pop Song radio airplay chart after 40 weeks on release, where it has since sold over 1.7 million downloads in the US alone.

Their follow up album Science & Faith was released in September 2010, and spawned hit songs For the First Time and Nothing, which obtained #1 in Ireland and the UK, and #3 on the US Billboard 200.
Arguably their most popular song Hall of Fame, feautring will.i.am was from their third album, #3.
The album peaked at #1 in Ireland and the UK and contained other favorites such as Six Degrees of Separation and If You Could See Me Now.
Thier latest album No Sound Without Silence has peaked at #1 and contains the track Superheroes.

I was gutted when I didn't get too see The Script in Singapore the other day and I'm very well on track to catch them in KL next year.
Do not miss your chance to see them, too!
