Entry 173 : I'm, Like, Super Busy

Hello, there.
Life's been pretty topsy-turvy for me these past few months.
I'm here to just check in and share some photos I've shot outside of my reviews and event coverage.

Maybe sip some coffee while you're reading

I've started to really focus on finishing my undergraduate project/thesis.
As of today, I only have less than four weeks till I have to submit my final draft so it's a real race against time in terms of getting everything perfect.
If everything goes right, I'll be finishing my Bachelor's degree in June so I'm really excited for the next few weeks!

SSCE; Class of 2015

And with that, I've been working hard to balance my university life with my life here on the internet.
Blogging takes a lot of time, not just for the writing but also for the planning, travelling and the whole reviewing/researching process.
Plus, I've also been getting more job call-ups lately (which I am very grateful for).
Hence, there's the pre-shoot planning for that, then the event/shoot itself, and then post-processing of photos (which includes overview, weeding, editing, curating) before lastly uploading.
So, yeah.

There's a lot of time invested in all my entries and endeavours.
There was that one time I had a meeting with my supervisor on Tuesday morning, flew to KL at noon to attend the HTC One M9+ launch that night, then took the earliest flight back to JB the next morning to attend class and sit for a test!
It was ferociously hectic.

And I still haven't posted about it yet

But throughout this whole experience, this year, especially, I've learned that it doesn't matter how tired I get, as long as I'm doing what I love, I'll just keep doing it.
I have longed to be in such a position where I am able to freely take control of my life, set my own schedules to attend events and have time for my studies and routines.

Just to give you guys an idea of what I've been up to, here's a list of events/stuff that I've been involved in since the start of the new semester in February (some of them have links to photo galleries/blog entries):

Not too long of a list and I'm sure countless other people are even busier but comparing with myself from a year ago, this year I've substantially increased my activity log and clocked in way more miles than I ever have in a span of less than four months.
What a ride it has been thus far and I'm really hoping that I get to plunge myself into even more events and shoots.

Which brings me to my recent trip to Singapore.
I have long abandoned my street photography.
Like, REALLY LONG.
So when I went to Singapore to see SCANDAL, the beautiful streets, the magnificent cityscapes and the overall feel of an alien country transformed me into a street photography robot.
Here are some of my favorite shots:

"This is Maghrib!"

Most probably my favorite of all favorites from the whole trip

It's a shame that people take walking for granted.
As a person who appreciates wonderful sceneries and dynamic life, the daily commute from the hotel to my destinations opened my eyes and reminded me of how invigorating street photography is.
I missed shooting the streets so much and the Singapore trip really gave me that extra push to keep on doing what I love and to keep looking forward to even more opportunities to create beautiful images.

Looking back at everything, I feel like I've been growing a lot in terms of being in the media scene and as a human being.
I've constantly worked to better present myself in crowds, to always keep a positive outlook on life and to never back down from a challenge.
Requesting access and getting to know the right people is extremely difficult and often times results in disappointing outcomes.
But that hasn't ever stopped me and I'm determined to contact more people and companies to not only add content to this blog, but to also provide you guys, my dear readers, much better information on products and future happenings.
I will also be doing more in terms of hands-on reviews and photography-related articles so that I can maybe help you guys out with your photography, as well.

In fact, I'm planning a Lightroom Processing & Basic Photography workshop in the Summer.
If you have ideas and suggestions on what to cover, where to hold the workshop and any other thoughts, please feel free to contact me via Twitter, Facebook or e-mail.
You can also leave your messages in the comments below.

So there you have it.
Just a short (?) update on my recent going-ons.
I'm pretty sure I've said this a lot of times already but I am grateful for all that I've been blessed with till today.
Therefore, it is my responsibility to repay all these blessings and support with top quality entries and content.

Check out all the photos from this entry and more at my Flickr gallery here.

I'm going to leave you guys with this shot I took of my forever love, Park Jiyeon at Iskandar Waterfront Carnival:

"No, I'm not lucky. I'm blessed."
