Now I'm not going to make this whole entry sound like a plug but I do want to share with you guys some photos I took of my brother and partner, Fariq, showcasing a cool new strap we've been using for quite a while now.

Introducing: Gordy's Camera Straps

Gordy's Camera Straps are handmade in the USA, made of Latigo belt leather from real natural cowhide, which make them "tough, flexible, and pliable with a natural luster that only improves with age and softens with use".

"If the leather is good enough to hold up your pants, it's good enough to hold up your camera!"

To complement the premium finish of the strap, the leather is wrapped with .040" (1mm) diameter heavy-duty polyester cord, waxed for durability.

Originating from Whidbey Island (north of Seattle), Gordy's Camera Straps produce various types of straps, that include wrist straps, adjustable & non-adjustable neck straps, and even a tripod strap with a myriad of choices of leather color and waxed cord colors.

The wrist strap is perfect for casual and street shooting. Here's one with a russet leather and gray cord.

A closer look

Fariq and I have been really happy with the straps, especially the horizontal neck strap we use on the Fujifilm X-T1 (seen in a few previous entries).
