Entry 225 : Influence Asia 2017

So, a few weeks ago, while I was doing coverage on the event with Ji Chang Wook, another event was held simultaneously at another venue. Therefore, I asked two of my friends to cover for me. The following is a retelling of Influence Asia 2017, that saw numerous influencers from 7 Asian countries gather for a night of celebration and acknowledgement of the future of youth inspirers.

The music was playing together with the interview, so I had to do the classic way of taking down notes with pen and paper. Brief summary from the interview:

Ryan Matjeraie (Hitz.fm) | Jessica
It’s the second time you’ve been here, so what’s your impression of the country?
I love the weather here, I like how it’s really warm and humid, and it makes me wanna jump in the pool. I have not been around here, but I wish to explore more in the future.
Ryan asked about who she wanted to work with, and she said there are many, but the Weeknd was the only name mentioned.
People look up to you and want to do what you do, so what is your biggest advice to do what you do for a living?
If you have something you wanna do, don’t be afraid and try it. Just give it a try
Be yourself?
Yeah, just be yourself and don’t ever regret.

Editor's note: This is one of many unpaid ads this guy has plugged into his report.

The last stage of the night was by one of the most celebrated person in the house: Jessica Jung. After falling out with her previous South Korean girl group Girls Generation, she debuted as a solo artist, where her hit songs Fly and Wonderland have received positive response on YouTube and by her fans.

Jessica’s fans that were present sang Happy Birthday to her in advance (her actual birthday being April 18th) and it was a beautiful scene. What a way to end the night.

It was a great night overall, where I got to meet some of the biggest names in the social media scene.

I would like to take this chance to give my biggest thanks to Daoz, who trusted me to cover this event. I’m really grateful for the opportunity.

Kudos to Gushcloud and YDM media for the great memories and hope to see you all again! Peace out.

That's all for this entry. Hope you guys liked the different perspective brought to you by Kelvin. I know he put in a lot of local slang but I allowed it as that's what he's all about. Do give your feedback on this style of reportage/coverage. If you liked it, I'll see if I can hire Kelvin and Lizzy again, and other reporters in the future to give THE FEAR some extra flair and uniqueness. God knows you must be bored to death with me by now (please don't be).
Thanks for checking this entry out. Until next time, take care.
