Entry 226 : Info - Good Vibes Festival 2017

Hey, everyone!

It's already May (can you believe it?) yet this blog has not even had one event announcement this year! That shows either one of two things: I am a lazy writer who doesn't want to share info with my readers OR there hasn't been anything to update on - trust me, it's the latter. Personally, I find the lack of music events in Malaysia quite upsetting, whereas countries like Singapore and Thailand are steadily receiving visits from world-renowned artists and musicians. I am not sure why, but the current state of affairs within our nation could very well be the factor for such a decline.

No worries, though, because one spectacle of an event that did happen last year is coming back to bring the good vibes once again:

Good Vibes Festival 2017

On the back of last year's successful Good Vibes Festival, this year the organizers are looking to keep the energy going by lining up big name acts such as G-Eazy, The Kooks, Kodaline, and Phoenix. 

Festival details are as follows:
  • Date (Day): August 12th & 13th, 2017 (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Venue: The Ranch @ Goh Tong Jaya, Genting Highlands
  • Time: Doors open at 4PM (Friday) and 3PM (Saturday)
Tickets will go on sale TOMORROW (May 5th) at http://www.goodvibesfestival.com/. Ticket prices and packages are as follows:


Tickets start at RM300

The way the tickets are sold is as follows:
"Once Early Bird tickets sell out, we will move on to the next phase and so on as each phase sells out - so the earlier you buy, the less you pay. All ticket phases are free standing General Entry tickets and you must be 18 years old and above to enter the festival.
All prices shown are subject to 6% gst and an online transaction fee of RM10 per transaction."

Since the event is held at Genting Highlands, the organizers have also set up a few packages that include accommodation:

TWO-NIGHT stay, TWO DAY passes, TWO people

ONE-NIGHT stay, TWO DAY passes, TWO people

Details for hotel packages are as follows:

"All hotel packages include 2 x two-day passes. All rooms are FWH Standard at First World Hotel, Genting Highlands.
All prices shown are subject to 6% gst and an online transaction fee of RM10 per transaction."

Last but not least, for those who never vibe alone, there is a group package:

So, there you have it. I didn't get a chance to go last year and I don't know if I'll go this year, but from what I heard, you can expect a really chill atmosphere filled with music, people, and long lines for food.
